What's a nurse practitioner?
A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse endorsed by the national nursing regulatory authority (the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) to function autonomously in an advanced capacity.
NPs are able to independently:
Perform advanced and comprehensive physical examinations;
Request diagnostic tests, such as X-Rays and blood tests;
Refer to medical specialists and allied health professionals.

What kind of services do you provide?
We provide care for minor illnesses, as well as assess and treat many common long-term health conditions, such diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Our NP also has expertise in the management of heart and lung conditions.
We provide expert preventative healthcare, including:
PrEP HIV Prevention
Weight loss counselling
Ear irrigation for wax
We provide sick certificates for verifiable acute illnesses.
Do you bulk bill?
All initial consultations are bulk-billed to ensure there are no financial pressures impacting upon your initial intake appointment.
Should you see us and we can't provide what you require, there will be no out-of-pocket costs to you.
How much do your services cost?
Fees for Medicare Card Holders
All professional attendances are Medicare rebateable.
There is a $30 out-of-pocket cost to persons aged 12 and older (after Medicare rebate).
There is a $10 out-of-pocket cost for persons younger than age 12 (after Medicare rebate).
There is an additional $5 fee for INR testing.
Credit or debit card payments accepted only.
Fees for Non-Medicare Card Holders
Consultation fees are based upon the time spent with you.
The following prices reflect a person who is aged 12 or greater:
$48.00 for a consultation less than 20 minutes.
$64.00 for a 20 minutes - 39 minutes consultation.
$80.00 for a 40 minute or greater consultation.
What can't you do as a nurse practitioner?
There's actually very little that we can't do compared to what you see in general practice.
However, we do not provide prescriptions for benzodiazepines (such as Ativan or Valium) or opioids (such as Endone or Panadeine Forte) without a written management plan that has been developed and agreed upon with your general practitioner.
There are certain diagnostic tests, such as CT-scans and MRIs, that if ordered by your GP would normally attract a Medicare subsidy to reduce your out of pocket costs. However, such diagnostic tests will not attract a subsidy if ordered by a nurse practitioner.
In the ACT there are some government forms, such as workers compensation, Centrelink and driver's license medicals that we cannot sign.
In the event we are unable to meet your healthcare needs, we will work with you to ensure you get the care you require, whilst minimising your out of pocket costs.
